Arriving in Bangkok after an anything- but-short flight was very exciting. Happy to be across the world and finally on the ground! We stayed at an Air bnb called the Skywalk Condominium which was absolutely beautiful with an amazing rooftop view of the entire city. On our first day in Bangkok we explored the city and went downtown to the Wat Arun Temples. While inside the temples in Thailand your shoulders and below the knees must be covered, showing respect to their culture. Of course, it’s about 100 degrees but worth the struggle of sweating through our clothes! Getting around the city was not easy because of the slight language barrier. We came across a man who spoke English and helped us onto a “Tuk-Tuk” which took us around to all the temples including the White Buddah, Wat Intharawihan, Grand Palace and Wat Pho. I would recommend seeing all of these temples in the city… breathtaking. The city of Bangkok is not exactly clean but once you find yourself stumbling upon these magnificent temples, you will soon realize the timeless beauty.
